Delete Your Account & Data

Last updated July 2026

This page explains how patients and pharmacy staff can request deletion of a DosePoint account and eligible associated personal data. Clinical, dispensing, audit, and financial records may remain subject to the pharmacy's legal retention duties.

How to request deletion

You do not need to sign in to make a request. Send us an email and we will action it with your pharmacy:

  • Email support@dosepoint.co from any address.
  • Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
  • Tell us the name of your pharmacy and the phone number or email you use to log in, so we can locate the correct record.

If you prefer, you may also ask your pharmacy's front desk to submit the request on your behalf.

Who controls your data

Each pharmacy is the controller of its own patient and staff records, and DosePoint operates the software on the pharmacy's behalf. When you ask us to delete your data, we coordinate the deletion with your pharmacy and confirm once it is complete.

What is deleted

On a confirmed request, and subject to the retention rules below, we delete eligible account data including:

  • The login record and active authentication sessions associated with the account.
  • Communication preferences and device-delivery tokens associated with the account.
  • Optional profile and device-session information that is not required for security, audit, or legal retention.
  • Eligible personal profile details, unless the pharmacy or applicable law requires them to remain with a retained record.

What we may retain, and why

Some records cannot be deleted immediately because pharmacies are legally required to keep them. We retain the minimum necessary, for the minimum period required by law, and delete or anonymize it afterwards:

  • Pharmacy and medical treatment records: retained for the period required by your country's medical record-keeping laws.
  • Invoices, payments, and other financial records: retained as required by tax and accounting law.
  • Records we must keep to comply with a legal obligation, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Retained records are access-controlled and are not used for marketing. Where possible, we anonymize data so it can no longer be linked to you.

Timeline

We aim to acknowledge every request within 48 hours and to complete the deletion within 30 days. If retention law requires us to keep certain records longer, we will tell you which categories and for how long.

Signing out and administrator-managed accounts

You can sign out of the web dashboard or patient portal to end the current session. Staff accounts are managed by the pharmacy's administrator; ask the administrator, or use the email process above, to request deletion. Signing out does not itself delete retained pharmacy records.
